About Us

Pen Bay Distributors, based out of Rockland Maine, is a Division of Maine Chefs Foods Inc. In the summer of 2015 Maine Chefs was approached by a local small business to help with sales and distribution of their unique product line. After reaching out to our customer base in Maine, New Hampshire & Massachusetts we found there was an interest in different lines of local products that the larger Distributors didn’t carry.

Once a few calls were made with other small specialty food companies the same message was heard, “we’re looking for extra market share in areas we can’t get to”. With that information in hand Pen Bay Distributors was born. “Neighbors Supporting Neighbors”. In a short period of time many local specialty businesses have joined Pen Bay Distributors, we’re proud to represent those companies and the talents they share.
